I spent most of my childhood in the city of Chicago in Illinois. That’s where I gained some of my best-loved pastimes: finding new places, discovering new cultures, soaking up books, and— of course— writing. Since middle school, writing has been an important part of my life, and by age twelve I knew that I wanted to be a writer when I grew up.
